Ramblings and Musings

I was browsing the Google street view of my old stomping grounds from over ten years ago. Found the highway that bridged the gap between the Portland Airport into Vancouver. I'm not even sure if I have the little red journal that I used to write my notes while I was there. I know I have my plane tickets, which are at least over 15 years old by now.

This was indicated to have been taken in 2009, around two or three years after I had left.

I turned around on Google street view to pan up along the highway, to get up onto the bridge.

From the look of things, by the time September of 2021 rolled around, there's what looks to be a homeless camp around here. The jump between 2009 and 2021 is jarring and sad.

Closing Thoughts

This is a test post for my last ditch effort at blogging. I need several posts just so I can see how my website is meant to look. Randomly at 11PM I got anxious wondering if Blogger was gonna go down, and I came across this thread on Google support.

Really just trying to get back into the habit of blogging again. Got curious and looked up if blogging had any positive impact on mental health, and found this article and found it interesting.

More curated and sensible posts in the future will continue. I don't foresee me using this platform in a serious manner, just as a way to express my thoughts and get used to speaking to the public.

This was written on a quiet night in August. Here's what I listened too while working.

Cool. Thanks.
